Founded in 1882, the Royal College of Music is a world-leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. It’s an exciting time to be joining the College - our excellence was recognised in the 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject when we were ranked the global No.1 institution for both Music and Performing arts for three successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the ranking this year. Our 900 undergraduate and postgraduate students come from over 50 countries and are taught in a dynamic environment, graduating from the RCM to become the outstanding performers, conductors and composers of the future.

The RCM is seeking an International Student Officer to provide immigration advice and support to our community of international students through all stages of the visa application process, along with more general support with the audition, admissions and enrolment process and pastoral support for students moving to a new country to study. The post-holder is also responsible for issuing Confirmations of Acceptance for Study (CAS), administering the RCM’s attendance monitoring system and, in conjunction with the Deputy Academic Registrar, ensuring that the RCM’s immigration records are maintained in accordance with Home Office requirements.

Based in the RCM’s small, friendly Registry department, the role also provides an opportunity to gain experience of other aspects of student administration, ideal for someone wishing to develop their career in the HE sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an inspirational environment, supporting talented young musicians from around the world.
