On Friday 27 April, the RCM Baroque Orchestra and Soloists appeared on BBC Radio 3's "In Tune" to promote a very special concert.

Ashley Solomon directed the RCM musicians in extracts from the forthcoming concert "Music for the Earl of Sandwich". This event, which be held at St Mary’s Arts Centre, Sandwich on 12 May, celebrates the 250th anniversary of the creation of the sandwich by John Montagu, the Fourth Earl of Sandwich, who was a keen supporter of the arts. He championed the music of Handel and Purcell - at that time already in danger of being forgotten - and put on performances of Handel’s Oratorios, Masques and Odes at his estate.
