RCM students selected for the LSO String Experience Scheme

Wednesday 25 November 2015

Nine students from the RCM Strings Faculty have been selected for the London Symphony Orchestra String Experience Scheme. The programme gives participants valuable experience in rehearsal and in concert with one of the world’s finest professional orchestras. Students perform alongside regular LSO players and benefit from experienced section mentors.

The LSO String Experience Scheme is specifically aimed at students from London conservatoires and takes 15 participants per year. With nine of our students selected from recent auditions, the Royal College of Music has placed more musicians on the 2015/16 scheme than all the other conservatoires combined.

Congratulations to violinists Alexandra Isted, Anna Lee, Lasma Taimina; violists Lisa Bucknell (pictured), May Dolan, Bryony Gibson-Cornish; cellists Kristiana Ignatjeva, Zoe Saubat and double bassist Jon Mikel Martínez Valgañón.
