We’re delighted to announce that we are continuing to bring RCM events to a world-wide audience by broadcasting three Autumn Season events live online.
Always highlights of the year, both of this season’s RCM Symphony Orchestra performances will be broadcast live from the RCM website. In the first, on Thursday 24 October, they perform Britten’s Spring Symphony under the baton of one of the UK’s top choral directors, David Hill. Then, on Thursday 7 November, we’re delighted to welcome conductor John Wilson back to the RCM to conduct a programme of Britten, Copland and Rachmaninov.
On Saturday 16 November a piano masterclass with the inspirational pianist Lang Lang will be broadcast live from our Britten Theatre, offering the opportunity for everybody to witness him working with RCMJD and Lang Lang Music World students in this sold-out event.
The RCM’s ground-breaking series of online broadcasts has enjoyed huge success over the past few months, gaining some very positive feedback from viewers who are now able to enjoy and benefit from RCM concerts and masterclasses wherever they are in the world.
The broadcast events usually also appear on the RCM’s YouTube channel, where you can also now watch recordings of recent masterclasses with violinist Ida Haendel, pianist András Schiff and baritone Gerald Finley.
