Friday 31 May 2013

Once again this June RCM soloists and chamber groups are heading to London’s Cadogan Hall for a series of spectacular concerts.

A total of 45 top RCM musicians are showcasing their talent across three Monday evening concerts in this year’s ‘Rising Stars’ series, which is now in its sixth year.

The first concert on Monday 3 June features chamber music by Schubert, Kurtág, Schumann and Brahms, plus a new work by RCM composer Arne Gieshoff.

The second on Monday 10 June celebrates French chamber music and songs by Poulenc, Debussy, Ravel and Fauré.

In the series’ final concert on Monday 17 June, RCM musicians present brass and percussion music by Britten, Per Nørgård and Lutosławski alongside a new work by RCM composer Louis D’heudieres and the Quatuor pour la fin du temps by this season’s featured composer Olivier Messiaen.
