Welcoming Back Sir Thomas Allen
We’re delighted to announce a new addition to our events programme – a Vocal Masterclass with Sir Thomas Allen on Friday 14 March.
This forms the final event in our spring series of vocal masterclasses, featuring renowned performers including Susan Bullock, Sir John Tomlinson and Barry Banks.
Sir Tom is an established star of the great opera houses of the world, and was awarded The Queen’s Medal for Music 2013 to recognise his major influence on the musical life of the nation. He is an RCM alumnus, and also made his directing debut at the RCM with an acclaimed production of Britten’s Albert Herring in 2002. We are thrilled to welcome the great baritone back to work with talented RCM singers.
The Vocal Masterclass with Sir Thomas Allen takes place on Friday 14 March at 2pm in the RCM’s Britten Theatre. Tickets cost £5 and can be booked via the RCM events website or the RCM Box Office on 020 7491 4314.
If you can’t make it in person, you can enjoy our live broadcast of the masterclass on the RCM website. Tune in to www.rcm.ac.uk/live from 2pm GMT on Friday 14 March.
