Zone One Brass on Radio 2

Brass Band in Residence Zone One Brass has played live on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show as part of ‘2Day’, a 12-hour celebration of everything the radio channel has to offer and which this year celebrates the orchestra.  

Live from the stage of London’s Hackney Empire, the band played a mix of pop tunes, including some of Chris Evans favourites, and a live version of the Breakfast Show jingle.

With more than eight million listeners, the show is the most listened to radio programme in the country. "It's not everyday that brass bands get that kind of audience!" says Zone One MD Richard Ward. "It's going to be an early start, but we're all looking forward to it! It's a huge profile date for us and banding in general and we hope we can do the movement proud!"
