We aim to inform candidates of the outcome of their audition as soon as we can. We will provide successful applicants with additional information and resources to help them prepare for their life at the Royal College of Music.
When will I know about the outcome of my audition?
If you auditioned in London in December or applied by recording you should hear from us about the outcome of your audition before Christmas.
If you auditioned overseas or auditioned in London in February you should hear from us within two weeks of your audition date.
Successful applicants who have accepted offers of places will be contacted during the summer about Registration and Induction Week.
To ensure we can reach you by mail, email or telephone (including over the Christmas period), please ensure you inform us of any changes in your contact details. If you have applied through UCAS Conservatoires you can update your contact details on their tracking system, UCAS Conservatoires Track.
UCAS Conservatoires Track
Candidates who applied through UCAS Conservatoires will receive their offers via UCAS Conservatoires Track, which outlines details of the programme offered along with any conditions. In addition, the RCM will send a confirmatory email with further information.
To access UCAS Conservatoires Track you will need the login details you used to make your application. You will receive an email notification when updated information is available.
Successful applicants can accept their offer through this system.
Fees & Scholarships
Whether you are planning to study as an undergraduate or postgraduate student at the Royal College of Music, you should consider how you will finance your studies.
Please refer to our fees and funding page for a full range of information and advice.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of performance at your audition. If we decide to offer you a scholarship you we will notify you directly and issue further guidance on how to proceed.
You may also wish to have a consultation lesson with a one of our professors before arriving. Your Head of Faculty is best placed to advise you on this and will be able to put you in touch if needed. You can contact the Faculty Administrator for your faculty.
There is normally a charge of £70 for a consultation lesson (but this may vary), which is conducted in the professor’s own time. This charge is payable directly to the professor.
