Block Grant studentship opportunities 2011-2012
Persons interested in applying for either one of five awards in the Professional Preparation Masters scheme or one in the Doctoral Awards scheme must refer to the Guidance Notes for all applicants for further details.
Please note that you cannot apply through the AHRC’s Studentship Competition as all RCM applications must be made through its Block Grant partnership.
Eligibility
Full awards (fees plus maintenance stipend) are open to UK Nationals, and EU students who can satisfy UK residency requirements. To be eligible for the full award, EU Nationals must have been in the UK for at least 3 years prior to the start of the course for which they are seeking funding, not counting any period when they were resident wholly or mainly for the purposes of full-time education.
EU Nationals who do not meet the above residency requirement are eligible for a fees-only award, provided that they have been ordinarily resident in the EU for at least 3 years prior to the start of their proposed programme of study.
Applicants must have gained an undergraduate degree from a recognised institution, or be a current undergraduate expecting to graduate before 31 July 2011.
Those applying for a doctoral award should normally have, or be studying for, a Masters degree which will be awarded before commencing doctoral study.

How to apply
Applicants must complete either the Application Form for Professional Preparation Masters or the Application Form for Doctoral Awards.
All completed documents must be received by the RCM Registry no later than 5pm on Monday 4 April 2011. Applicants must also arrange for two references to be completed and submitted to RCM Registry by this time.
