How to Apply
Most applications for undergraduate and postgraduate study should be made online through UCAS Conservatoires (formerly known as CUKAS). UCAS Conservatoires is now accepting applications for entry in September 2017. Closing dates vary depending on the location of your audition and the programme of study you are applying for (see below for details).
Applications for the BSc in Physics and Musical Performance and applications for Doctoral study cannot be made through UCAS Conservatoires. See below for more details.

You can submit your application for entry in 2017 to UCAS Conservatoires from mid-July 2016. Through UCAS Conservatoires you can apply simultaneously to all the institutions that are members of Conservatoires UK. You can track your application, find out when your audition is and get the results of your audition all on UCAS Conservatoires. You can also pay your application and audition fees, and confirm your decisions online.

BSc in Physics and Musical Performance
For the BSc in Physics and Musical Performance candidates must apply to Imperial College London through UCAS (not UCAS Conservatoires). Each year the application deadline is 15 January for admission the following September. This programme is available to instrumentalists and composers only. Auditions are held either in December or February.
Doctoral candidates must apply directly to the RCM. Each year the application deadline is 31 January for admission the following September. Please visit our Doctoral pages for more application information and the link to the application form.
Artist Diploma in Chamber Music

The following fees must be paid when making your online application:
Auditions in London and most Asian venues (except Japan):
- £100 for single study with or without a second study
- £160 for joint principal study or alternative study
- £115 for Composition, Composition for Screen and Conducting
Auditions in Japan: £190
Auditions in the USA: £150
Applications by recording for performers: £100

Applications by recording for composers wishing to be considered by portfolio only (no interview): £115

Applications via UCAS Conservatoires incur an additional £24 administration fee.
