Debussy La mer

Debussy’s rich and evocative composition, La mer, forms the centrepiece of this evening concert led and devised by RCM conductors.

The orchestral masterpiece, composed between 1903 and 1905, has become one of Debussy's most celebrated works, admired for its daring impressionistic harmonies and sensuous yet subtle depiction of the wind, the waves and the sea.
