Mozart Requiem K626

Monumental, mysterious and tragic, Mozart died before finishing what turned out to be his own Requiem. The circumstances of its completion are enigmatic, yet it remains a timeless and much-loved choral classic.

Famously caricatured to 'begin like Bach and end like Offenbach' by pianist Sigismund Stojowski, Saint-Saëns’ Second Piano Concerto is performed by RCM Concerto Competition winner Arina Lazgiian. Then, we're delighted that the renowned King’s College Choir and its director Stephen Cleobury will join us for Mozart’s hauntingly beautiful Ave verum corpus.

In memory of Sir David Willcocks CBE, Director of the Royal College of Music (1974–84).
