Genevieve was born in London and started playing the violin and piano at the age of 6 and began studying at the RCM JD two years later. At the age of 13, Genevieve was awarded a place at the Purcell School where she was a Gramophone Scholar. She studied the violin with Yossi Zivoni, piano with Elizabeth Burley and singing with Kathleen Livingstone.
Genevieve continued her studies at the RNCM and then at GSMD with Simon Fischer (Violin) and Theresa Goble (Voice).
Upon graduating, Genevieve pursued her career as a freelance violinist/viola player, singer, accompanist and peripatetic teacher in and around London. She has experience of teaching adults and children of all ages and standards in upper strings, piano, singing, theory and musicianship. Genevieve has also worked for Edexcel as a Music A level Moderator.
In 2005, Genevieve completed her QTS and has taught academic music in a selective state grammar school for the past twelve years where she has directed ensembles and developed successful chamber music groups.
