Junior Fellowships

A Junior Fellowship is an award offered competitively to aspiring musicians at the beginning of their careers. Junior Fellowships enable musicians to gain experience, confidence and connections of the kind that help them to establish themselves professionally.

Some awards are offered for particular specialisms such as Piano Accompaniment; others are open to applicants irrespective of specialism. They provide talented young artists with the means and time to enhance and hone their artistic skills and to establish new professional contacts while continuing their development with the appropriate guidance.

Junior Fellows play a dual role: they are expected to contribute to the College community while also pursuing their own developing careers. This enables them to use the resources that the College provides while also using it as a platform from which to enter the professional world.

Applications for Junior Fellowships in 2012/13 are now closed.
