Louise is currently studying on the BMus course
"We are very fortunate to have so many world-class players on the teaching staff and visiting for masterclasses, and I have found every lesson during my time here an inspiration.
The versatility of the professors means that every student receives tuition on a wide range of genres from Classical Percussion and Timpani, to Jazz Vibraphone, Latin Percussion, Drums and Solo Marimba. Third and fourth year students can choose to specialise in a combination of the above, making the course very individual.
I have been lucky to be part of the department’s flagship quartet PERC’M, playing with world-renowned soloists and even travelling abroad to collaborate with overseas conservatoires. There have been so many opportunities to perform at the RCM. One highlight for me has been playing with the RCM Symphony Orchestra with John Wilson - an experience I will always remember."
