Gareth Hulse


Gareth Hulse read music at Cambridge and continued his oboe studies with Janet Craxton and Heinz Holliger. He has been principal oboist of the Northern Sinfonia, English National Opera and the London Philharmonic. He now pursues his interest in contemporary music with the London Sinfonietta and in chamber music with both the Nash Ensemble and London Winds. He has given many solo performances, in music ranging from Bach and Vivaldi to Berio and Lutoslawski and is a frequent broadcaster. Gareth Hulse has taught at the RAM and has coached the National Youth Orchestra.
