Closing date: 9am Thursday 28 November 2019
Interview date: w/c Monday 9 December 2019
Salary: £26,376 - £29,180 per annum
Job ref. no: 410-19
The Royal College of Music (RCM) is one of the world's greatest conservatoires. Our excellence was recognised by the 2019 QS World University Rankings, in which we ranked as the top institution for performing arts in the UK for the fourth consecutive year. The RCM also achieved an overall rating of gold for its outstanding teaching and learning provision for undergraduates in the first ever Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
The RCM Development & Alumni Engagement (DAE) Department raises significant funds each year from individuals, companies, and charitable trusts and foundations, to support the RCM in its educational and artistic mission. In 2015, the RCM announced plans to transform its building in the heart of South Kensington and this is a key priority of an ambitious capital campaign, More Music: Reimagining the Royal College of Music. To achieve the ambitious levels of funding required to turn this vision into a reality, the Development and Alumni Engagement Department was established in January 2016, bringing together the functions of fundraising, membership, Development operations, events and alumni relations under one division.
The Major Gifts Coordinator will be responsible for providing the highest level of administrative support to the Major Gifts Team, particularly with preparing proposals and materials; organising cultivation events; ensuring accurate maintenance and circulation of data; monitoring appropriate communication with donors and prospects. The postholder will support the Major Gifts Team in managing a programme of approach, research and stewardship for small trusts, major donors and prospects (£1-10k annual giving).
