Life at the Royal College of Music’s Strings Faculty was the focus of a recent feature article by The Amati Magazine.
“Students laugh and chat, figures with violin cases bustle past and the sound of a tuba booms through a door. Buildings, of course, don’t make institutions: people do”, writes Richard Bratby, who focusses as much on the buzz of college life he does on the work of the Faculty. “[A] spirit of co-operation between staff and students – of doors being held open, and ambitions encouraged – is everywhere in the RCM”, he notes.
The full article, which features insights from students and Head of Strings, Mark Messenger, can be read here.
