Students Find Success Through Historical Performance

Friday 4 December 2015

Historical Performance at the RCM has a strong track-record of providing students from several faculties with opportunities to achieve great success.

Soprano Rowan Pierce was recently awarded Second Prize at the 3rd International Early Music Vocal Competition, Canticum Gaudium in Poznan. Together with a cash prize Rowan will return to Poznan next year to perform with the Poznan Baroque Orchestra.

The recent success of Tolga Ün highlights the strength of additional study options at the RCM. Tolga was awarded Second Prize at the Broadwood Harpsichord Competition at the Horniman Museum. Harpsichord is Tolga’s second study instrument, which he has developed to award-winning level though his work with Historical Performance.
