Prospective Students Visit RCM at Open Day 2016
Friday 22 April 2016
The Royal College of Music was delighted to welcome more visitors than ever before for Open Day 2016. Prospective students, parents and teachers explored the RCM’s world-class facilities, discovered the opportunities on offer and spoke directly to current students about their experiences.
The day was packed with a variety of events, including open lessons, talks, performance classes and a lunchtime concert showcasing the talent of RCM musicians.
Continuing the spirit of inviting the world’s best artists, the Britten Theatre played host to a three-hour vocal masterclass with renowned baritone and RCM alumnus Sir Thomas Allen.
Visitors also had the chance to try out the Performance Simulator; to speak to Director, Professor Colin Lawson; to find out about student life, financial planning, and career opportunities; and to visit the RCM’s brand new halls of residence, Prince Consort Village.
We wish all prospective students the best with their applications!
