Tickets now on sale for our autumn opera: The Magic Flute

Wednesday 8 October 2014

This November the RCM International Opera School is proud to present a new production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

As one of the best-loved works in the operatic repertoire, Die Zauberflöte contains some of Mozart’s most enchanting music which never fails to delight. Previous RCM productions of this famous opera have featured the likes of Janis Kelly, Rosemary Joshua, Andrew Kennedy and, most recently, Sarah-Jane Brandon.

To work with this year’s cohort of talented young singers, we’re delighted to welcome back French opera director Jean-Claude Auvray, who makes a welcome return to our Britten Theatre after directing our acclaimed 2012 production of Le nozze di Figaro. Jean-Claude has directed more than 150 productions worldwide, at venues such as the Aix-en-Provence Festival, the Orange Festival, the opera houses of Venice, Verona and Houston and all the major opera houses of France, Germany, Switzerland and London.

The Magic Flute is on at the Britten Theatre on 24, 26, 28 and 29 November. For more information visit our events pages.
