Season's Greetings from the Royal College of Music

Friday 11 December 2015

The Royal College of Music is delighted to wish all students, staff, visitors and supporters the very best for the Festive Season and New Year.

This year’s Christmas E-card remembers former RCM Director, Sir David Willcocks, who passed away on 17 September 2015.

Sir David was a much-loved and prominent choral conductor, composer and organist who made an enormous contribution to British cultural life. As Director of Music at King’s College, Cambridge and editor of Oxford University Press’ Carols for Choirs collections, Sir David’s name became synonymous with the Festive Season, and the RCM is pleased to remember him in this way.

The E-card also provides a preview of the Royal College of Music’s new visual identity, developed throughout the last year by world-leading brand-agency, Landor. We have greatly benefitted from Landor’s expertise, which has been provided to the RCM at no cost whatsoever.

Informed by the findings of Landor’s in-depth research into the RCM, our refreshed brand pays homage to our prestigious history, and reinforces our values, while incorporating a more contemporary feel to reflect our innovative and forward-thinking outlook.

Look out for other changes to our visual identity as we roll out our refreshed branding between January – June 2016.
