Success for Yuki in Leipzig

Congratulations to cellist Yuki Ito who has won the European Young Concert Artists Competition in Leipzig.

Yuki succeeded against competition from more than 100 other semi-finalists and performed repertoire including Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B minor op 104, Cello Sonata in G minor op 19 by Rachmaninov and Bach’s well-known Cello Suite no 6 in D major.

The prize includes solo engagements at prestigious venues throughout Europe and a ticket to the competition’s Grand Final held in New York in November 2012.
