The RCM continued its exploration of the music and emigration with a special concert in the Britten Theatre on Wednesday April 24 2013.

The launch event of Singing a Song in a Foreign Land was held on 26 September 2012 in the Amaryllis Flemming Concert Hall of the Royal College of Music.
The concert included a performance of Nachtmusik (Night Music) for soprano solo, male chorus, flute, cello and piano, followed by What a Life! - a comic revue by Hans Gál (1890-1987) and conceived by Georg Höllering (1897-1980). It was written and first performed during internment near Douglas, Isle of Man, UK, 1940.
