RCM Named Top Conservatoire for Performing Arts in the UK

Tuesday 22 March 2016

The Royal College of Music has been named the top conservatoire for Performing Arts in the United Kingdom in the 2016 QS World University Rankings. The RCM is also ranked joint third across all Performing Arts institutions worldwide.

The QS World University Rankings assessment of leading universities worldwide is based on the strength and quality of institutions’ teaching, research activities, graduate employability and international profile. The rankings are compiled from the opinions of academics and employers and from analysis of research output and impact.

This announcement follows the RCM’s placement as the top place to study music in the 2016 Guardian University Guide and success in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, in which the RCM was named the London conservatoire with the highest percentage of world-leading research.
