Digital resources for schools

Lydia Baldwin from the RCM interacting with children in school
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing guidance, school visits to the Royal College of Music Museum have been put on hold until further notice.

Instead we are pleased to present a collection of curriculum-linked resources with learning activities for schools, designed to support teaching at home and in the classroom.

Explore our fantastic objects and stories through themed topics targeted at pupils across the key stages of learning.

We would like these resources to be available to as many people as possible. Please contact the RCM Museum team at museum@rcm.ac.uk if you would like to discuss other formats.

EYFS Carnival of the Animals

Join us on a listening safari of selected pieces from Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. Choose from tailored activities that encourage children to connect the music they hear with the sounds of nature, as well as explore musical contrasts such as fast and slow, high and low.
