The Royal College of Music, one of the world’s leading conservatoires, has announced a new Advanced Solo Marimba Programme, starting in September 2009. This world-class programme for postgraduate students, devised and directed by internationally renowned artiste Daniella Ganeva, provides a fabulous opportunity to study right in the heart of one of Europe’s most spectacular cities – London.

 

Summary

The objective of the programme is to prepare students for a career as a solo artist through intensive training in all aspects of solo performance: repertoire; techniques, concert programming, recording and management

Facilities

Students have full use of the RCM Percussion Suite and practice facilities, which are equipped with marimba one instruments.

 

Qualifications

Studying Advanced Solo Marimba Performance at Postgraduate Level can lead to one of the following:

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Performance (PGDip), 1 academic year
  • Master of Music in Performance (fast-track MMus), 1 calendar year of 12 months
  • Master of Performance (MPerf), 2 academic years OR Master of Music in Performance (MMus), 2 academic years
