RCM alumnus Anna Kandinskaya returns to College for an insightful violin masterclass.
Following her postgraduate studies at the RCM, Anna was awarded First Prize in the International Violin Competition of the Munich Konzertgesellschaft and was winner of the International Yehudi Menuhin Competition, after which she regularly toured with Menuhin himself. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and has appeared at Wigmore Hall, the Barbican, Münchener Philharmonie am Gasteig, Münchener Residenz, Tonhalle Zürich, Musikverein Wien and the Wiener Konzerthaus. Her chamber music partners have included Sir András Schiff, Gidon Kremer and the late Lars Vogt.
Alongside her busy performance schedule, Anna regularly gives masterclasses around the world, and is both lecturer in violin at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna, and professor of solo violin at the Joseph Haydn Conservatoire Eisenstadt.
