Distinguished teacher at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen and Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt Georges Barthel works with historical flautists in this special masterclass.
After graduating the Conservatoire National de Région in Strasbourg for both the modern and the baroque flutes, Georges decided to focus on historical performance practice. He has performed in major festivals and concert halls worldwide and is a member of several ensembles such as Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, La Petite Bande and Australian Chamber Orchestra.

Turangalîla at the Royal Festival Hall
The Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra, led by acclaimed conductor Jac van Steen, perform Messiaen’s epic masterpiece Turangalîla-symphonie at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on Wednesday 1 May, 7.30pm.
