This intimate song recital traces connections between a network of composers linked by
more than music, featuring works by Alma and Gustav Mahler.
They say that there are only six degrees of separation between any two people – in the music world it’s more like one. Join RCM pianists and singers as they explore songs by 19th- and 20th-century composers linked by a tangled web of friendships, mentorships, marriages and affairs.
Curated by Lord and Lady Lurgan Collaborative Piano Fellow Ella O’Neill, the programme includes music by Zemlinsky, Schoenberg and Berg.
