Florence Brady is a first-year doctoral student and LAHP Doctoral Studentship Holder. Her PhD explores the ways in which ‘natural voice’ singing practitioners stage community choral encounters and examines the cultural performances therein. 

Florence received her BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, and her MA (Distinction) in Acting and Performance Practice from Rose Bruford, during which time she was also the recipient of the Jean Benedetti Postgraduate Achievement Award. She has taught on modules at Rose Bruford and East 15, and continues to be active as an actor, singer, and performance maker.  

Her other research interests include voice, intercultural performance practices, experimental music theatre, and collective creation.
