Disability & access support

RCM Redhocks playing at the opening of the Crick Insitute
The Royal College of Music is dedicated to ensuring that students with a disability or access need are well supported to enable them to have a rewarding student experience and to fulfil their potential. In order to do this, we ask you to let us know if you need additional support arising out of a disability or other circumstances (eg being a care leaver, having dependents or caring responsibilities or having a criminal conviction) so that we can make any supplementary arrangements, with your agreement, to support you.

Please complete and submit our Disability and Access Support form. RCM staff will treat your information confidentially. It will only be seen by staff members who will help provide support or have a legitimate need to know. After submitting this form, you will be contacted by the Student Services Manager with an invitation to discuss any requirements you may have.

Disabled Students' Allowance

Eligible UK-based undergraduate and postgraduate students are strongly encouraged to apply for the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) to help pay for extra study related costs you may have because of a disability, mental-health condition or specific learning difficulty.

Applications can take 3-4 months to be processed and so we encourage students to apply as soon as possible. You apply via your regional student funding body, please select relevant link below for further information.

International students and those not eligible for the Disabled Students’ Allowance are strongly encouraged to contact Disability Services to discuss their support needs. Your discussion will take place in complete confidence.
