Mark-Anthony Turnage Crying Out Loud
Mark-Anthony Turnage Kai
Mark-Anthony Turnage Twice Through the Heart

We continue our 60th birthday celebration of composer Mark-Anthony Turnage with a performance from the RCM’s contemporary music ensemble New Perspectives.

Crying Out Loud relishes in Turnage’s trademark command of shifting energies cast in a single train of thought. His style reaches impassioned heights in the searing monodrama of Twice Through the Heart – a story of murderous retaliation – paired with Kai, a poignant work of remembrance for a tragically absent friend.
