Flautist Ruth Morley and composer-soprano Laura Bowler bring their innovative duo Gaia to the College in a collaborative concert with RCM musicians.
Gaia was formed to showcase new works for voice and flute by female UK composers. This programme includes Laura Bowler's own work Wicked Problems and Ruth Morley's Neon Flicker alongside music by Carmel Smickersgill, who has supported RCM alumna Anna Meredith on tour, and Irish composer Deirdre McKay, praised by The Irish Examiner for her ‘exceptionally imaginative’ scores.

Turangalîla at the Royal Festival Hall
The Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra, led by acclaimed conductor Jac van Steen, perform Messiaen’s epic masterpiece Turangalîla-symphonie at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on Wednesday 1 May, 7.30pm.
