Mozart Piano Concerto no 11 in F major K413
Mozart Piano Concerto no 12 in A major K414
Mozart Piano Concerto no 13 in C major K415
Mozart Piano Concerto no 14 in E flat major K449
Hear four Classical concertos in their intended form, performed on the type of piano that Mozart himself would have used, the College’s Anton Walter fortepiano copy made by Paul McNulty.
This historical piano design from the late 18th century differs from the instrument we know today, with its lighter build, reduced string tension and distinctive timbres. Performing with these early keyboardists is a string quartet, a fitting accompaniment for these delicate concertos.
