Knowledge Exchange at the Royal College of Music is the collaborative process of using our practical and academic expertise with external partners for mutual benefit.

Our knowledge exchange activities arise from impactful research discoveries, cutting-edge music technical innovations, collaborative projects with under-represented communities, student entrepreneurship and continuing professional development. We are strengthening our relationships with organisations ranging from the United Nations, local charities and government and the creative industries.

Our aim is to maximise the real world benefits that music can bring to our society and economy through meaningful, sustainable knowledge exchange activities.

Here you can see how Royal College of Music knowledge exchange projects make an impact by solving real-world problems through the power of music.

If you would like further information about how we can help your organisation or community, or any aspect of RCM knowledge exchange, please feel free to contact us at Knowledge.Exchange@rcm.ac.uk.
