Information about Visit Days
RCMJD visit days are an opportunity to see the RCM building in-person and to meet the RCMJD team. The dates and format of a visit day will be confirmed in autumn 2022.
Please note that attendance at a visit day is not compulsory before applying to the Junior Department, as a later opportunity will be provided for successful auditionees to visit the department before the response to offer deadline.
Advance booking
Advance booking is necessary as space is limited. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis depending on your age and the instrument you study.
Parents
Due to restrictions on visitor numbers, only one parent/guardian will be able to accompany the visiting student.
Instruments
Instruments are not needed on a visit day. This is an observational day and we regret that we cannot involve you in any practical music-making activities that will require an instrument. You'll have to wait until audition to show us how brilliant you are!
Refreshments
Refreshments, if required, can be purchased in our canteen.
About your application to attend our Visit Day
Though we can't acknowledge receipt of your application, we will aim to let you know whether we can accommodate you as soon as we can.
Cancelling attendence at our Visit Day
If having been booked on a visit day you find you are no longer able to attend, please do let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the place to someone on the waiting list.
