We are delighted to welcome Danny Driver and Peter Jablonski to the Royal College of Music as piano professors, and Jianing Kong as assistant piano professor.

Danny Driver’s recordings and performances have generated international critical acclaim over recent years, cementing his reputation as one of Britain’s most respected and versatile pianists. Notably, he has two Gramophone Award nominations, a National Public Radio Top 10 Award and Limelight Magazine’s Instrumental Recording of the Year 2014 Award for his recording of Handel’s Eight Great Suites. Danny is a fine chamber musician in addition and has contributed to the RCM as an external examiner in recent years.

Swedish pianist Peter Jablonski has a busy international career performing with many of the world's leading orchestras. His extensive discography includes the complete Tchaikovsky concertos, the complete Prokofiev sonatas, the works for piano and orchestra by Scriabin, concertos by Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Gershwin and the world premiere recording of Wojciech Kilar's Piano Concerto. He has been awarded the Royal Medal Litteris et Artibus by the King of Sweden for services to culture.

Jianing Kong, a former RCM Mills Williams Junior Fellow, gained his Artist Diploma, MMus and BMus from the Royal College of Music, graduating in 2011. He has a busy career already with many prizes from international piano competitions, and prestigious recital and concerto appearances to his name. Jianing is a much respected teacher in the RCM Junior Department and at the Purcell School, and he will be working with Professor Dmitri Alexeev as an assistant piano professor.
