Royal College of Music alumni named 2016 YCAT Artists

Friday 20 May 2016

Two recent Royal College of Music alumni have been named 2016 Artists by the Young Classical Artists Trust.

Violinist Daniel Roberts and cellist Christopher Graves were both selected for representation by YCAT as part of the Castalian Quartet, following final auditions in front of a public audience at London’s Wigmore Hall. Alongside both graduates, RCM professor and Principal Oboe of the London Symphony Orchestra, Olivier Stankiewicz, was also chosen as a 2016 YCAT Artist.

YCAT provides essential opportunities, guidance and support to talented young artists at the start of international performing careers. Daniel, Christopher and Olivier join other RCM alumni as YCAT Artists, including violinist Benjamin Baker, bassoonist Amy Harman and mezzo-soprano Anna Huntley, as well as current RCM pianist Alexander Ullman.

Following his selection by YCAT in 2013 and graduation from the RCM International Opera School in 2014, RCM alumnus and baritone Morgan Pearse has recently moved on from YCAT to join renowned artist management agency Ingpen and Williams.
